The Suffering of Lesser Mammals Cover Illustration
Wrap-around cover design and illustration by me and Jennifer Kyung Yoo for Greg Sanders’ collection of short stories “The Suffering of Lesser Mammals” published by Owl Canyon Press. There was a through-line in his stories of absurd dark humor in exploring the human condition of suffering. Which is why we combined imagery from the spaceman story and the Hudson River story to create an absurdly dark cover illustration. Aren’t we all just adrift without a paddle?
