Mothra vs. Godzilla 1964 - SpokeArt - SILVER MEDAL
Officially licensed Mothra vs Godzilla 24x36" giclee poster for the 70 yrs of Godzilla group exhibition with Ghost x Ghost and Spoke Art. There are themes of environmental impact, anti-nuclear, commercial greed, exploitations of resources and more but I really just wanted to showcase Mothra's full beautiful design. I noticed "The Peanuts" credited as the shobijin and thought that was funny. It turns out they are Emi and Yumi Itō, identical twins who were a famous singing duo. I made the poster for this 1964 film in a mid-century print style which is not my usual.
