Original thought was to show how Mechagodzilla existed within Godzilla and show an overlay duality, but then it just ended up that it was simply cooler to show all of Mechagodzilla
This side profile view format is a well I'll return to for other Godzilla posters but for this one I really wanted to show off Mechagodzilla's cool looking eye and chest rays in a bolder way.
